Editorial Policy

CoinsPaid Media is not your average crypto publication. We’re a fast-moving, insight-driven, Web3-native media brand that speaks to real people in the language of now. These editorial principles help us communicate clearly, inclusively, and effectively – without losing our distinct voice.

Talk to your friends

We know the grammar rules – even the obscure ones – but we’re not here to be language police. When there’s a choice to make, we go with what sounds natural, not what fits a textbook rule.

Writing for CoinsPaid Media isn’t about mimicking traditional journalism or corporate PR. It’s more like a smart, engaging chat with someone who gets it. Whether it’s our website, social posts, printed zines, e-books, or reports, our tone is intentionally more relaxed and conversational than what you’d find in a typical news outlet – and that’s the point.

We’re part of a new kind of media – one that speaks with people, not at them. Crypto is complex enough. Our job is to make it clearer, not more confusing. So we write the way we speak – with clarity, simplicity, and a touch of character. If it sounds like a friendly human wrote it, we’re on the right track.

Do:Don’t:
  • Use contractions: “we’re,” “it’s,” “they’re”

  • Write like you’re explaining to a curious friend

  • Keep sentences short (under 20 words when possible)

  • “We’re publishing new explainers to help you stay ahead in Web3.”

  • Use stiff or formal business language
  • Assume your audience understands crypto-specific jargon

  • “It is imperative that readers familiarize themselves with forthcoming blockchain-native educational modules.”

Be confident, not cocky

We know our stuff – and we show it by being confident, not condescending. Whether we’re breaking down blockchain tech or analyzing market trends, we aim to inform without overwhelming or intimidating.

Do:Don’t:
  • Back claims with reputable sources and research

  • Use active voice to show responsibility

  • “CoinsPaid Media interviewed five blockchain analysts to uncover the trend.”

  • Make unverifiable or exaggerated claims

  • Talk down to readers

  • “Everyone in crypto knows we’re the most trusted source.”

Prioritize clarity over grammar rules

We respect the rules – but we’re not ruled by them. When in doubt, we go with what sounds natural. A conversational tone beats textbook perfection every time.

Do:Don’t:
  • Use fragments and conjunctions when it feels natural

  • Prioritize flow and readability over rigid formality

  • “Want alpha? Our newsletter’s got it.”

  • Choose perfect grammar at the expense of voice or understanding

  • “If you are in pursuit of industry-leading intelligence, please subscribe.”

Make content easy to scan

We design articles for fast reading: subheads, bullet points, short paragraphs, and meaningful visuals. Readers can dive deep or skim – both should feel satisfying.

Do:Don’t:
  • Use descriptive subheadings

  • Write short paragraphs

  • Use bullet points for quick lists

  • “Top 3 DAO governance challenges in 2025”

  • Write large text blocks

  • Use vague or clickbait headings

  • “Let’s talk about some issues DAOs might face this year.”

Explain the complicated

Crypto moves fast and often talks in code. We translate. We explain. We define acronyms, unpack jargon, and always remember there’s a human on the other end.

Do:Don’t:
  • Define key terms when first introduced

  • Use analogies to explain abstract ideas

  • “Think of your seed phrase as your bank PIN – never share it.”

  • Assume prior knowledge

  • Overuse unexplained acronyms or technical buzzwords

  • “Your BIP-39 mnemonic must be secured independently of custodial layers.”

Write for a global audience

Our content reaches a global, multilingual, multicultural audience.

Do:Don’t:
  • Avoid culture-specific references or idioms

  • Use simple and universal vocabulary

  • “Buy crypto with your local currency.”

  • Assume U.S.-centric norms or reader familiarity with niche slang

  • Use humor or metaphors that don’t translate well

  • “Ready to ride the DeFi rollercoaster and stack some satoshis?”

Think globally

  • Account for longer translated text in the design

  • Work with localization partners to adapt metaphors and examples

  • Use inclusive language and a neutral tone where applicable

Build trust through transparency

CoinsPaid Media is here to cut through the hype. We cite sources, disclose affiliations, and correct mistakes. Trust is our currency, and we earn it by being honest and clear.

Do:Don’t:
  • Attribute statistics and quotes clearly

  • Disclose sponsorships and affiliations

  • Update outdated or incorrect content promptly

  • “This article was written in partnership with XYZ Protocol.”

  • Mislead readers with half-truths

  • Bury disclosures

  • “XYZ Protocol is the most revolutionary project you’ve never heard of (sponsored).”

Use visuals with purpose

Design should support and elevate storytelling. Make sure to include crediting info, as well as captions, and secure any necessary permissions so we have the right to publish before submission.

Do:Don’t:
  • Use visuals to simplify concepts (charts, diagrams)

  • Add alt text and meaningful captions

  • Graph showing L2 adoption over time

  • Rely on cliché crypto imagery (e.g. gold coins, hooded hackers)

  • Skip accessibility best practices

  • Image of a Bitcoin logo floating in space

Focus on the why

What’s the value? Why does it matter now? Every piece we publish should answer these questions, whether it’s a quick market update or a long-form interview.

Leave space for personality

CoinsPaid Media isn’t a faceless outlet. Our content has edge, flavor, and a point of view. That means wit is welcome, as long as it doesn’t sacrifice clarity or inclusivity.

Submission & Publication policies

Accuracy & Attribution

Writers are responsible for fact-checking their content. That includes any statistics, quotes, or anecdotes. Hyperlink sources when possible, and be ready to provide references if our editorial team requests them.

Readability & Tone

Your article should be clear, jargon-free, persuasive, and enjoyable to read. Keep our global audience in mind and use language that’s engaging and inclusive.

Final review

Once your piece has been edited and prepped for publication, you’ll receive a final version to review. We welcome your input on titles and subheadings, but final editorial decisions rest with the CoinsPaid Media team.

Exclusivity

Articles submitted to CoinsPaid Media must be exclusive and unpublished elsewhere online, before or after we publish them. You’re welcome to share a short excerpt (up to 150 words) on your blog or newsletter with a link back to the full article.

No self-promotion

We don’t publish promotional content. Please don’t mention your company, product, or service in the article itself. Mentions outside your byline will be removed during editing.

What may get rejected

Not every submission makes it to publication. Common reasons include:

  • Content that’s already been published online

  • Self-promotional or biased content

  • Articles not relevant to the crypto/blockchain/Web3/FinTech space

  • Submissions that rehash advice we’ve already published

  • Tips that are overly basic or obvious

  • Posts that fall short of the minimum word count (400 words)

  • Editorial responses to other articles we’ve published

SEO essentials

Do:Don’t:
  • Include keywords in the title, intro, and one header

  • Force keywords where they don’t fit

  • Duplicate H1 headers

  • “Wallet Setup Guide for Blockchain DAO dApp”

Language & Tone

Use active voice

Do:Don’t:
  • “We published our Q2 DeFi trend report.”

  • “Our editors reviewed the protocol documentation.”

  • “The report was published.”

  • “Documentation will be reviewed.”

Use passive voice sparingly:

  • In brief status messages: “Report submitted.”

  • To soften sensitive actions: “Your account was suspended.”

Use contractions (wisely)

Use natural contractions to sound approachable and current.

Do:Don’t:
  • “Let’s dive into the report.”

  • “We’ll keep you updated.”

  • “Y’all better read this!”

  • “That’s blockchain’s finest, folks!”

Use simple tenses

Stick with simple verb forms that are easier to translate and read.

Do:Don’t:
  • “You get full access to our archive.”

  • “You’ll receive weekly trend alerts.”

  • “You’ve been getting alpha for weeks now.”

  • “You’ll have been analyzing these metrics since July.”

In summary

CoinsPaid Media is shaping the voice of FinTech and crypto journalism. We’re bold but credible. We’re explanatory but never condescending. These editorial standards help ensure our storytelling is strong, our readers are respected, and our content leads the space.
