The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) partnered with Chainlink to establish tokenization frameworks and drive innovation in blockchain technologies.

ADGM representatives announced a strategic collaboration with Chainlink, a leading provider of blockchain oracles. As part of this partnership, Chainlink will grant ADGM access to cutting-edge solutions for cross-chain interoperability and verifiable data. The agreement focuses on developing and implementing tokenization frameworks that maximize the utility of real-world assets (RWA) while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.
Founded in 2015, ADGM operates as a special economic zone in the United Arab Emirates with its own civil and commercial legal system based on English common law. In 2018, it became the first jurisdiction worldwide to introduce a comprehensive regulatory framework for digital assets.
By the end of 2024, ADGM housed 134 asset management firms overseeing 166 funds, with a total of 275 financial institutions operating within its jurisdiction, including major players like BlackRock, PGIM, and Morgan Stanley.
Under the memorandum, ADGM and Chainlink will collaborate on regulatory frameworks for blockchain technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and other advanced solutions. The partnership also includes a series of events and workshops in the UAE, covering key topics such as tokenization, cross-chain interoperability, proof-of-reserves, and emerging blockchain ecosystem standards.
According to Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, CEO of ADGM Registration Authority, blockchain technology enhances global market liquidity. He also emphasized that the collaboration with Chainlink aligns with ADGM’s vision of fostering innovation and regulatory harmonization in the global DLT space. The initiative aims to enhance transparency, security, and trust in the Web3 ecosystem.
Chainlink is actively bridging the TradFi and DeFi ecosystems, launching the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) in 2023. The company also promotes tokenized asset initiatives in partnership with Taurus, Sygnum, Fidelity International, and Arta TechFin.
