Ant Group Launches Web3 Project Anvita to Advance Autonomous AI Agent Economy

A subsidiary of Ant Group unveiled a new Web3 infrastructure project, Anvita, aimed at developing the agent economy and featuring tokenization services alongside a settlement system based on the x402 protocol.
Ant Digital Technologies, the blockchain arm of Chinese FinTech giant Ant Group, announced at the Real Up Cannes summit the launch of its new brand, Anvita. The initiative is focused on building infrastructure for interaction between autonomous AI agents within the digital economy. In particular, it centers on the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) model, or economic scenarios where agent-based systems interact autonomously.
The Anvita ecosystem is built around two core solutions:
- Anvita TaaS (Tokenization-as-a-Service), an institutional-grade real-world asset (RWA) tokenization service that enables issuance, custody, and management of digital assets in compliance with regulatory requirements, and includes treasury management tools.
- Anvita Flow, an environment for AI agent interaction, where agents can register, coordinate actions, execute tasks, and conduct real-time payments.
Ant Digital Technologies stated it’s making a strategic shift from traditional asset tokenization to a new model in which programmable assets, decentralized networks, and autonomous algorithms become full participants in economic processes.
Zhuoqun Bian, President of Blockchain Business at Ant Digital Technologies, noted that simply bringing assets on-chain no longer generates demand. The next stage includes systems that not only analyze data but also manage assets, execute transactions, and optimize investment portfolios.
Cobe Zhang, Head of Anvita Products, said this marks the beginning of a new era in which digital agents become direct participants in the digital economy. This shifts the traditional interaction model, from users searching for services to an environment where agents independently discover and interact with each other.
The summit discussions included representatives from HSBC, the Ethereum Foundation, EY, BNP Paribas, Circle, and DTCPAY. Participants highlighted that integrating AI and Web3 technologies could transform financial services, increase trust in digital systems, and accelerate the adoption of a programmable economy.
One of the key technological features of Anvita Flow is its use of the x402 payment protocol, enabling instant A2A settlements without intermediaries. This reduces costs and simplifies identification, communication, and payment processes between autonomous systems.
