Ripple Expands Multi-Asset Prime Brokerage Services

Ripple will provide Brevan Howard’s investment funds with prime brokerage, clearing, and financing services across multiple asset classes to improve capital efficiency and simplify operations.
Ripple and Brevan Howard announced an expanded partnership that will allow investment funds to use a single infrastructure for trading in traditional financial markets and digital assets. The services will be delivered through Ripple Prime, a platform designed for institutional investors.
Brevan Howard is one of the world’s leading alternative investment management firms. The company manages about $35 billion in assets for institutional investors worldwide.
Ripple Prime brings together services covering multiple asset classes and financial products within a single infrastructure. This helps reduce operational complexity across markets and improve capital allocation efficiency.
Ripple Prime will provide Brevan Howard’s investment funds with the following services:
Prime brokerage: Facilitating transactions across multiple classes of financial and digital assets through a single platform.
Clearing: Coordinating trade settlement and fulfilling obligations arising from executed transactions.
Financing: Providing financing solutions designed to improve capital efficiency.
Noel Kimmel, President of Ripple Prime, said the expanded partnership with Brevan Howard demonstrated the platform’s competitiveness and ability to support multiple asset classes. He noted that few companies could offer a comprehensive suite of services that met the requirements of large institutional investors.
Alan McGrorty, Group Chief Operating Officer at Brevan Howard, emphasized that the convergence of traditional financial markets and digital assets was increasing demand for reliable, institutional-grade infrastructure. The company expects Ripple’s solutions to help its investment teams streamline operations and improve capital efficiency.
The expanded partnership built on an existing financial relationship between the companies. In 2025, funds managed by entities affiliated with Brevan Howard participated in Ripple’s $500 million strategic investment round. The round was led by Fortress Investment Group and Citadel Securities and valued Ripple at $40 billion.
In 2025, Ripple also acquired prime broker Hidden Road as part of its plans to establish the XRP Ledger (XRPL) as a key platform for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and expand institutional adoption of its RLUSD stablecoin.
