Spacecoin is launching decentralized satellite connectivity infrastructure in Vietnam, enabling the country’s largest mobile operators to expand access to advanced telecommunications services without fully upgrading their existing infrastructure.
DePIN project Spacecoin announced the signing of an exclusive memorandum of understanding with Vietnamese technology company DETI Technology. The partnership covers the deployment of decentralized satellite communications, sovereign data routing solutions, edge AI technologies, and blockchain infrastructure in the local market.
Under the agreement, DETI received exclusive rights to collaborate on, develop, and distribute these technologies across Vietnam for a period of three years. The term will begin once the project obtains an official operating license.
The initiative’s primary objective is to serve Vietnam’s two largest mobile operators, Mobifone and Gtel. The companies expect the joint venture to generate at least $100 million in annual revenue after commercial operations begin.
As part of the partnership, the companies plan to deploy an integrated technology stack that includes:
- decentralized satellite communications to expand coverage without reliance on a single operator or terrestrial infrastructure;
- a sovereign routing system designed to maintain control over data transmission within the country;
- edge AI technologies that reduce latency through local data processing;
- blockchain infrastructure to coordinate network operations and facilitate settlements among participants.
According to Spacecoin, the solution will allow telecom operators to expand access to modern telecommunications services without requiring a complete overhaul of existing infrastructure.
The company said it selected Vietnam as the first market for the initiative because of the country’s high level of digitalization, young population, and substantial government investment in national digital infrastructure. Spacecoin founder Tae Oh said Vietnam demonstrated strong readiness for the rapid adoption of next-generation communications technologies and satellite services.
The agreement with DETI is part of Spacecoin’s broader strategy to expand into emerging telecommunications markets. The company said it is pursuing similar partnerships in other countries as well.
