With the help of TON, it’ll be possible to buy airline tickets, book hotel rooms, and pay for tours, excursions, and other tourist activities in over 230 countries.
Representatives of travel Web3 platform Travala.com announced a partnership with blockchain project The Open Network, which integrated the TON cryptocurrency onto the platform for payment.
Travala.com is the largest decentralized travel platform. Users can book rooms in more than 2.2 million hotels, buy airline tickets from over 600 airlines, and access more than 410,000 different travel events.
Travala.com supports 127 payment methods, including about 100 major cryptocurrencies: BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, USDT, and others. Thanks to cooperation with The Open Network, the TON token was added to the list of supported cryptocurrencies.
Juan Otero, CEO of Travala.com, commented on the cooperation, noting the company’s commitment to mass crypto adoption and the development of the crypto community. He believes new use cases for TON will drive these efforts forward.
The scale of crypto use as a means of payment increased significantly in recent years, and TON plays a critical role in this process. For example, Tether recently announced a collaboration with Oobit and TON Foundation to expand the possibilities of using stablecoins as payment instruments using a double conversion mechanism.
