Twitter developers plan to launch a feature allowing users to display extended information about non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for sale in tweets and buy them in one click.
Twitter has begun testing NFT Tweet Tile, a new feature. It’ll allow displaying detailed information about NFTs that users post and buying or selling them.
The new functionality will be linked to marketplaces Magic Eden, Rarible, Jump.trade, and Dapper Labs. Selected users of Twitter’s web version and mobile app on iOS can take part in the tool’s testing. The social network’s representatives stressed that once NFT Tweet Tile is launched, it’ll be available to all users, regardless of their account.
The announcement was made amid the completion of Elon Musk’s deal to buy the social network. The billionaire tweeted that “the bird has been freed.” “Freedom” cost $44 billion. It also became known that Binance transferred about $500 million in equity to Musk two days before the deal was completed.
The Washington Post announced the firing of some of Twitter’s top managers and executives:
- Parag Agrawal, CEO;
- Ned Segal, CFO;
- Vijaya Gadde, Head of Legal, Policy, and Trust;
- Sean Edgett, General Counsel.
Elon Musk also insisted that Tesla engineers meet with Twitter’s development team to verify the social network’s code. Recall that the billionaire declared his intention to buy Twitter in April this year.
