In Q3 2022, Ukraine took first place in the crypto adoption rate.
DappRadar analysts presented a Blockchain Behavior Report and analyzed the current trends in the cryptocurrency market. The most interesting findings include Ukraine’s leadership in the crypto adoption rate, which surged by 143% in Q3 compared to Q2 2022.
Ukraine ranks fifth in the general ranking of “dominance” in the crypto market. The first place goes to the U.S., followed by India, Indonesia, and Russia. The analysis by DappRadar was based on target traffic volume from a particular region.
Other intriguing insights presented in the report include the following:
- Reddit conquered the NFT market, surpassing OpenSea by the number of active wallets on its platform. That said, Reddit representatives don’t even use the term NFT in formal communication.
- Blockchain games remain a niche hobby. Over half of gamers aren’t even familiar with the term.
- This year has been a peak year for blockchain developer activity. More than a third of all existing smart contracts were created in 2022.
Among other numbers, DappRadar experts stressed that the gender ratio in the cryptocurrency industry is about 3 men to 1 woman. Millennials, i.e. people aged 25 to 45, make up about half of all crypto users. Generation Z, those between 18 and 24 years old, account for another third of users.
Recall that a recent Schwab study found that roughly half of Millennials and Gen Z are interested in crypto savings for retirement and actively invest in digital assets.
