As part of Canada Crypto Week, Toronto will for the first time host a special event called ETHWomen, aimed exclusively at a female audience. This hybrid event will be part of the Blockchain Futurist Conference. The organizers are Untraceable Events and eight female Web3 communities.
The goal of ETHWomen is to provide an opportunity to bring together active and ambitious women and form a strong support system for their professional growth in the Web3 industry. Women with different skill levels, from beginner to expert, will participate in the event.
The event will be held in a hybrid format — physical presence is optional. Female participants can join the event online from anywhere in the world and connect with other attendees on the event’s Discord channel.
The main event of ETHWomen will be a hackathon, where female developers will demonstrate their skills and present innovative solutions based on the Ethereum network. Several prizes worth more than $38,000 will be raffled off among the participants.
In addition to the hackathon, the event will also feature a number of workshops, panel discussions, booths, and interactive sessions to discuss women’s business opportunities in the crypto industry. A host of speakers are scheduled to speak. Here are some of them:
- Michele Romanow, Co-Founder and CEO of Clearco Investment Fund and one of the contestants on the economic reality show Dragons’ Den;
- Elena Sinelnikova, Co-Founder and Coordinator of MetisDAO Foundation and Founder of the women’s blockchain community CryptoChicks;
- Sara Mansur, Director of Developer Growth at Ripple;
- Tracy Leparulo, Founder and CEO of blockchain community event agency Untraceable;
- Lisa Loud, Co-Founder and CEO of FLUIDEFI;
- Nikki Kang, Software Engineer at Audius.
Participation in ETHWomen is free but requires pre-registration. All attendees will receive tickets to the Blockchain Futurist Conference and access to all of its sessions, workshops, awards, and more.
