Scaling Ethereum 2024 is an async online hackathon organized by the ETHGlobal community. The event is aimed at experienced and novice developers, designers, and other specialists interested in creating Web3 products.

The goal of the event is to encourage teams to work on innovative projects based on the Ethereum blockchain network over the course of several weeks. Experienced mentors, partners, and software providers will assist participants.

Scaling Ethereum 2024 is open to anyone who wants to try their hand at Web3 development.

Applications will be accepted from March 28 to April 4. During this period, an introductory seminar and workshop for beginners will be held by the event’s mentors and judges. After the application deadline on April 4, a brainstorming session will be conducted to select ideas for further implementation. Next, team formation will begin, and work on projects will continue until April 23. Finalists will be presented on April 26, and Scaling Ethereum 2024 Recap Twitter Space will take place on April 30.

Scaling Ethereum 2024 is an open event and doesn’t assume solving any specific problem. Participants are allowed to work on any idea as long as it’s built on Ethereum. Besides, there are sponsored activities with prizes and recruiting offers. The prize pool provided by sponsors includes $156,000 and is divided as follows:

Scaling Ethereum 2024 is held remotely. The event format assumes only remote participation.

One of the conditions of participation is that work on the project can be started and conducted only during the hackathon.

Participation in the hackathon is absolutely free, but participants must “stake” a small amount of cryptocurrency to confirm their place in the event. The preliminary stake will be returned upon completion of the event.
