Binance and Franklin Templeton announced a strategic partnership aimed at developing innovative digital asset products that bridge traditional financial markets and blockchain technology.

Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, and Franklin Templeton, one of the biggest global investment firms with $1.6 trillion in AUM, signed an agreement to collaborate on digital initiatives and products. The goal is to enhance efficiency and transparency in capital markets, accelerate settlements, and expand investor access to new asset classes and technologies.
The cooperation will combine Franklin Templeton’s expertise in securities tokenization with Binance’s extensive digital asset trading infrastructure. The companies plan to deliver solutions that provide institutional-grade reliability and regulatory compliance while simplifying portfolio management and collateral processes.
Roger Bayston, EVP and Head of Digital Assets at Franklin Templeton, noted that investors are increasingly interested in tokenized instruments but expect them to be both reliable and accessible. He said that by working with Binance, they can “take tokenization from concept to practice.”
Sandy Kaul, EVP and Head of Innovation at Franklin Templeton, emphasized that blockchain shouldn’t be viewed as a threat to the traditional financial system but as an opportunity to rethink it. She highlighted that joint projects with Binance will allow the company to expand the use of its technologies, such as the Benji Technology Platform, and accelerate the integration of decentralized solutions into institutional practices.
Commenting on the initiative from Binance’s side, Catherine Chen, Head of VIP and Institutional at Binance, stated: “Binance has a record of innovating first-in-crypto solutions. Our strategic collaboration with Franklin Templeton to develop new products and initiatives furthers our commitment to bridge crypto with traditional capital markets.”
The first products under this collaboration are expected to be launched by the end of 2025.
Franklin Templeton has been involved in various cryptocurrency projects for several years. The company was among the first issuers of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in the United States and, in 2024, its analysts explored the investment potential of memecoins.
