BitcoinBlack acquired Canadian online medical advice service Ask the Doctor. Doctor consultations and prescription drugs can now be paid for using ten different cryptocurrencies, but access to the service will be a privilege for Bblack crypto cardholders.

BitcoinBlack Makes Ask the Doctor Services Exclusive

BitcoinBlack, a provider of exclusive cryptocurrency credit cards operating in the Visa payment system, announced the acquisition of Canadian telemedicine service Ask the Doctor. The deal is to expand the use of cryptocurrencies for doctor payments and prescription drug purchases, but only for Bblack crypto cardholders.

As part of the deal, Ask the Doctor’s services will be integrated into BitcoinBlack’s mobile app, which will be available for download on Google Play and the App Store. This way, BitcoinBlack customers will have exclusive and convenient access to telemedicine services via mobile devices. Bblack crypto cardholders will also be able to order and pay for prescription medications, as well as receive consultations from the Ask the Doctor network of medical professionals using BTC, BNB, DOGE, AVAX, ADA, MATIC, SOL, and XRP, as well as USDT and USDC stablecoins.

BitcoinBlack customers will receive up to 10% cashback in the form of reward tokens, which they can use on Haute Living Luxury Marketplace to purchase exclusive luxury goods and other products.

Ask the Doctor was one of the pioneers in allowing users to pay for services using cryptocurrencies, adding Bitcoin as a payment option back in 2016. Thanks to the service’s acquisition by BitcoinBlack, the list of cryptocurrencies available for use expanded significantly. Ask the Doctor services will now be available exclusively to Bblack crypto cardholders, greatly reducing its availability in the future. The exact number of users of the service is impossible to establish, but the number of downloads of the Ask the Doctor app on Google Play before the takeover exceeded 100,000.

The press release notes that the telemedicine and telehealth market is growing rapidly and, according to Research and Markets forecast, will reach $342.43 billion by 2028. The use of Web3 technologies in the health sector is actively growing, in particular, it concerns Metaverse developments. Thus, according to analysts’ estimates, the volume of the Metaverse healthmarket market may exceed $496 billion by 2033.
