Dorsia, a platform specializing in reservations for upscale restaurants and exclusive events, added cryptocurrency as a payment option.

Restaurant and Event Booking Now Available via Crypto

The platform announced a partnership with MoonPay, allowing users to pay for event and restaurant bookings using crypto in the U.S., U.K., Europe, and Gulf countries.

This collaboration integrates crypto payments directly into the Dorsia app. Users can top up their Dorsia Wallets using their existing crypto wallets and use digital assets to complete their purchases.

Сrypto transaction processing will be handled by Helio, a platform acquired by MoonPay in January 2025. Payments can be made in USDC stablecoin, as well as in SOL, ETH, MATIC, and DUST tokens, all operating on the Solana blockchain.

Ivan Soto-Wright, Co-Founder and CEO of MoonPay, emphasized that the primary goal of this partnership is to offer a secure and seamless way to use cryptocurrency for booking experiences.

Dorsia’s integration of crypto payments reflects a growing trend in the adoption of digital assets across various industries. Cryptocurrencies are already being widely accepted for public transportation, travel agency services, hotel bookings, and even salary payments.

“In 2025, crypto will become the backbone of global finance. The era of cryptocurrency as a purely speculative asset is over. What was once considered an alternative is now becoming a necessity,” says Max Krupyshev, CEO of CoinsPaid.
