Developers of the Lightning Network-based apps will soon be able to integrate AI applications based on large language models. This will automate processes related to buying, selling, and storing BTC.
Lightning Labs, the developer of the Layer 2 network for Bitcoin, announced the release of a toolkit to combine the Lightning Network and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
The new toolkit will allow AI applications like ChatGPT to interact with the Lightning Network. Developers will be able to automate their apps by using AI, which will be able to perform BTC transactions and crypto storage.
According to Lightning Labs developers, the new toolkit is designed to allow the Lightning Network community and AI developers to create innovative, inclusive, and cost-effective applications with BTC integration.
The new tools are based on Large Language Models (LLM) software applications, which allow AI to use large amounts of data to generate responses to user requests and perform some tasks. The new LLMs are based on the Lightning Network L402 authentication protocol and the Langchain library, designed to simplify interaction with AI applications.
A few months ago, Lightning Labs developers reduced the load on the core Bitcoin network caused by the mass creation of BRC-20 tokens using the Ordinals protocol by introducing the Taproot Assets v0.2 update.
