Crypto wallet MetaMask provides a new feature of the service Portfolio Dapp, which will give users an easier way to buy crypto for fiat money. The service supports 189 countries and over 90 tokens across eight blockchain networks.
The new feature of MetaMask opens up new possibilities for buying cryptocurrencies using debit or credit cards, bank transfers, and through PayPal and the Automated Clearing House (ACH) electronic payment system.
The feature will provide the ability to purchase more than 90 different tokens on such blockchain networks:
- Ethereum;
- Polygon;
- Optimism;
- Arbitrum;
- BNB Chain;
- Avalanche;
- Fantom;
- Celo.
The aggregator can be accessed by connecting directly to Portfolio Dapp or by clicking the Buy Crypto button in the MetaMask wallet app. Users will then be able to select the region, payment method, token, and network in which they want to purchase assets and the desired fiat currency. Users will be redirected to the third-party provider’s website to complete the transaction. The funds will be credited directly to the MetaMask wallet connected to the service.
A decentralized app Portfolio DApp was launched by MetaMask in September 2022 in order to simplify the management of digital assets, which are stored on different blockchain networks. The MetaMask team also partnered with PayPal to allow users to easily purchase ETH for fiat.
