During the DeGameFi conference, lots of interesting activities took place, and the startup contest was one of them. Native Teams won the main prize from CoinsPaid.
The DeGameFi conference was held in Tbilisi from October 22 to 23. The event gathered over 1,000 participants interested in the blockchain industry. The conference was focused on the transition from Web2 to Web3. Guest experts and industry leaders talked about the benefits of the Web3 concept and the interest of various Web2 companies in integrating into the new digital space.
The two-day program turned out to be quite eventful. Representatives of local and international crypto companies presented their solutions. Moreover, there were presentations of NFT projects and business expos, VIP dinners, workshops, and a startup contest.
“DeGameFi brought together all sorts of interesting projects and people. Developers, CEOs, and investors were all there. Each participant could find valuable contacts and spend their time productively,” shared Irakli Ablotia, the event participant and Community Manager of Ravestag.
More than 70 speakers were invited to speak at the conference. The program was sectioned into two stages, Main Stage and Tech Room.
George Paliani, CEO of CoinsPaid Media, gave a speech on the Main Stage about emerging cryptocurrency markets, the current state of the Caucasus countries concerning crypto regulation and beyond. “Georgia has become the crypto hub in the Caucasus region because of its favorable business environment and lack of legal restrictions on crypto exchange. By the end of this year, we expect the National Bank of Georgia to have a legislative framework to provide regulation for the country’s crypto market.”
The second day of the event featured a startup competition, where local and international projects presented their ideas to investors. The winner was the Native Teams project. CoinsPaid, an official partner of DeGameFi, gave the winner a check for 35,000 CPD. Recall that CoinsPaid actively participates in regional events, and the Batumi Gaming Fest, held in early October, was the latest one.
