Developer activity has increased 47.5% since the beginning of spring. Partnering with the Alchemy platform was the driver behind Polygon’s strong growth.
The number of decentralized apps (dApps) on Polygon exceeded 37,000, growing 400% since the beginning of 2022. Ryan Wyatt, CEO of Polygon, reported this. “We’re having quite a year,” he commented on Twitter.
Wyatt pointed out that many projects are increasingly choosing to build their products solely on Polygon. Analytics shows that only 26% of apps were deployed on both Polygon and Ethereum, while the remaining 74% were integrated on Polygon alone. Meanwhile, the monthly number of active development teams reached 11,800 at the end of July, an increase of 47.5% since the beginning of spring.
In total, Polygon has 142 million unique user addresses and $5 billion in assets secured. The overall number of processed transactions is 1.6 billion.
The main driver behind Polygon’s growth was its partnership with Alchemy, a platform that provides a range of tools and APIs for Web 3.0 project development. Alchemy’s tools make it much easier for Polygon developers to create decentralized apps. As a result, the number of dApps on Polygon grew 170% during Q1 2022. Furthermore, at the end of July, Polygon’s enterprise division unveiled a new privacy-enhancing scalability solution to reduce commission costs on Ethereum, based on Zero-Knowledge Proof.
