SOFTSWISS Acquires Turfsport and Enters African Market

SOFTSWISS, a top software provider for the iGaming industry, enters the African market. As part of its international expansion, the company acquired a majority stake in Turfsport, a leading provider of technical solutions for betting in South Africa.

According to Andrey Starovoitov, Co-CEO at SOFTSWISS, acquiring an already successful local company is one of the fastest and most effective ways to enter a new market. The African market is the company’s second focus of international development after Latin America.

Turfsport has been operating in South Africa for over 35 years, offering end-to-end solutions for local online, mobile, and retail operators. Users place over 1.5 billion bets annually on various Turfsport platforms. The company has more than 40 South African partners that provide sports and horse racing betting services and lotto.

Starovoitov highlights the value of partnering with such a bigwig in the iGaming industry, as it allows SOFTSWISS to access the technologies and developments of Turfsport. He hopes that Turfsport’s technical innovations will expand SOFTSWISS’ product portfolio.

Christian Neuberger, CEO at Turfsport, states that the African iGaming industry is rapidly growing, and the company needs to respond promptly to meet the sector’s growing demands. Neuberger believes that in this case, partnering with SOFTSWISS is a winning combination, as it combines Turfsport’s local expertise with SOFTSWISS’ international experience to create a competitive advantage in the dynamically growing iGaming solutions market.

SOFTSWISS’ Crypto Casino Solution entered the market ten years ago and gained significant success, expanding the capabilities of the iGaming industry.
