The United Arab Emirates already has almost 1,500 active Web3 projects.
In the Web3 sector, the UAE identified over 1,450 active companies with about 7,000 employees. In general, the country dominates the Web3 economy, as evidenced by the data presented in the Crypto Oasis Ecosystem report.
Around 65% of all projects are based on native blockchains, while the rest use existing open-source technologies. The free economic zone located in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) occupies a special place in the state. It has 460 blockchain entities registered there.
Making Dubai a big international crypto hub is the UAE government’s policy. Within its framework, several government agencies have already appeared in the metaverse. By 2030, the emirate’s government plans to create 40,000 jobs in the Dubai Metaverse.
