Cardano-native RWA stablecoin protocol goes live with Lace, Liqwid and SundaeSwap integrations, ahead of planned EVM expansion

RealFi Launches Mainnet Following Testnet Adoption of 3k+ Active Wallets

London, 1 October 2026 – RealFi, the Cardano-native real-world asset (RWA) stablecoin protocol, today announced the launch of its mainnet, marking the next stage in its development following a public testnet that attracted over 3,000 verified active wallets.

RealFi is building infrastructure designed to protect and grow wealth onchain through a two-token stablecoin model. The protocol combines USDrf, a liquid senior token, with sUSDrf, a staked junior token designed to absorb losses first, creating a differentiated structure for bringing real-world financial assets onchain.

The mainnet launch follows a period of public testnet validation in which RealFi recorded over 3,000 verified active wallets, significantly exceeding its target of 2,000, alongside more than 91% positive community sentiment.

John O’Connor, CEO of RealFi, said:
“Mainnet is an important milestone for RealFi, but it is ultimately the starting point for what we want to build. Our focus is on creating financial infrastructure that brings the transparency and accessibility of blockchain together with exposure to real-world finance, while building a model designed to protect capital as well as grow it.

“The response to our testnet gave us strong validation ahead of launch, with more than 3,000 verified active wallets participating. We now have the foundations in place to move into the next stage of RealFi’s growth, beginning on Cardano before taking the protocol to a much broader market.”

RealFi enters mainnet with integrations already live across the Cardano ecosystem. The protocol is integrated with Liqwid, providing access to lending markets; SundaeSwap, supporting decentralised exchange liquidity pools; and Lace, enabling users to access and interact with RealFi directly through the Cardano wallet.

The launch also introduces new names for RealFi’s stablecoin tokens following a community vote. Ahead of mainnet, RealFi was required to rename its tokens as a result of a centralised exchange listing requirement and a naming collision with a separate regulated issuer.

Rather than selecting the replacement internally, RealFi presented its community with two fully vetted options and committed to implementing the result of the vote. As a result, USDr has become USDrf, while the staked sUSDr has become sUSDrf. RealFi’s governance token, RFG, remains unchanged.

Following the Cardano launch, RealFi plans to expand the protocol to EVM-compatible networks, with an EVM launch expected approximately one month after mainnet following a further testing period. The expansion is intended to take RealFi’s model beyond the Cardano ecosystem and make the protocol accessible to a wider onchain market.

RealFi will present at the official Cardano Foundation booth at TOKEN2049 Singapore on 7–8 October, following a mainnet countdown event during Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul on 30 September.

This release contains forward-looking statements, including regarding planned EVM expansion and future protocol development.
