Belgrade Blockchain Week is a week-long series of events dedicated to the development of Web3 technologies. The event will gather top professionals and enthusiasts from around the world to discuss and showcase the latest advancements and innovations in blockchain.
The main event of the week is the ETH Belgrade conference, which will take place from June 3 to 5, 2024, at the MTS Dvorana conference center. This event will bring together experts and enthusiasts to discuss the latest trends and developments in the Ethereum ecosystem. Key speakers include:
- John Lilic, Executive Director at Telos Foundation;
- Solange Gueiros, Blockchain Developer Advocate at Chainlink Labs and Co-Founder of ETHSamba;
- Dragan Rakita, Software Engineer at Paradigm;
- Simon Emanuel Schmid, Senior Developer Relations Manager at Edge & Node;
- Eleftherios Karapetsas, Founder of Rotki Solutions GmbH.
The conference agenda includes discussions on significant topics for the Ethereum community:
- scaling EVM applications;
- prospects for using ZKP technology;
- creating a cross-network DeFi super app;
- the state and future of DePIN in 2024;
- the economics and evolution of ETH staking;
- challenges of restaking;
- solving Vitalik Buterin’s trilemma, and much more.
The cost of an entry ticket for the event starts at €250.
The second flagship event during Belgrade Blockchain Week is ETH Belgrade Hackathon, which will be held from May 31 to June 2, 2024. Over three days, participants will have the opportunity to create blockchain solutions based on the Ethereum network, which will be judged by a panel of technical experts and developers based on various criteria. Hackathon participants can join either in person or online. The total prize pool for the hackathon is $40,000.
In total, more than 30 different events are planned during Belgrade Blockchain Week, including:
- Speedrun Ethereum Day (May 31). An interactive event organized by the Buidl Guidl team, where participants will learn to create dApps on Ethereum.
- ZKBelgrade (June 2). A conference fully dedicated to ZKP technology, featuring talks by leading experts, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.
- BNB Chain Connect (June 4). An informal meetup and networking event for developers and enthusiasts of the BNB Chain blockchain.
- DeSci Belgrade 2024 (June 5–6). A two-day conference focused on exploring and showcasing the potential of blockchain and decentralization in science.
- Polkadot Belgrade (June 5). A conference dedicated to the development of the Polkadot blockchain ecosystem.
- Web3 Security Summit (June 7). A summit addressing security issues in the Web3 space.
