Japan Blockchain Week 2024

In July 2024, Japan will become one of the world’s main crypto hubs as Tokyo and Kyoto host numerous events from July 4 to 31 during Japan Blockchain Week 2024. Additionally, about 300 various events are planned across Japan, expected to attract over 50,000 attendees.

Japan Blockchain Week 2024 will be of interest to professionals working in the Web3 industry, including developers, designers, managers, and other specialists, as well as students, investors, researchers, representatives of commercial and government organizations, enthusiasts, and anyone interested in cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and other decentralized innovations.

The focus will be on the development of individual segments, protocols, and technologies within the Web3 industry, their synergies, new use cases, and applications in traditional economic sectors. The organizers include various blockchain communities and companies from Japan and East Asia.

Japan Blockchain Week 2024 will include the following official events:

  2. Web3 Summer Summit 2024 in KYOTO, a small, closed event for 200–300 participants, including Web3 business representatives, major industry players, investors, and venture capitalists. Entry is by pre-registration only.
  3. DCENTRAL Tokyo, Japan’s largest conference for developers and innovators in the Web3 space. It’ll feature expert talks, panel sessions, and numerous networking opportunities.
  4. EDCON 2024, an annual conference dedicated to Ethereum development and open-source projects. The event will include presentations by leading developers, workshops, project showcases, and demonstrations. Speakers will include Ethereum founders and industry leaders. Attendance is free.
  5. IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO, the largest conference within Japan Blockchain Week 2024, focusing on the intersection of the Web3 industry, artificial intelligence, gaming, and entertainment. Ticket prices start at $119.
  6. PlasmaCon, a conference organized by the Plasma Layer 2 protocol community, discussing alternative scaling methods for Ethereum, privacy solutions, and other technological trends. The program includes lectures, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, featuring key industry figures like Vitalik Buterin.
  7. Web3 Future 2024, a conference dedicated to integrating Web3 technologies into society, discussing innovations, regulatory frameworks, and business environments.
