Adidas is getting into the digital space with a successful release of its debut NFT collection.

Adidas sold all Into the Metaverse NFTs. The total profit amounted to 5,924 ETH or $22,4 million at 11 a.m. (GMT+2).

The partners of the collection included:

  • Bored Ape Yacht Club; 
  • GMoney; 
  • PunksComic.

There are a total of 30,000 NFTs in the collection, 20,000 of which were sold on December 17 in early access via Proof-of-Attendance to holders of Gmoney tokens, BAYC tokens, Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFTs and Pixel Wallet tokens. Another 9,620 NFTs were sold to all comers. The initial value of all tokens was 0,2 ETH. The company held onto 380 NFTs for future promotions and events. 

Today, Into the Metaverse NFTs can only be purchased on OpenSea’s secondary market. Token holders are guaranteed to receive four physical Adidas brand items in 2022:

  • Adicolor Firebird tracksuit (track top and track pants); 
  • A graphic hoodie;
  • A classic orange beanie.

All items are pictured directly on the NFT. To realize the idea, the brand purchased NFT #8774 from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection, around whose image the entire visual component of the collection is built.
