An Ethereum developer has created a solution that allows ChatGPT to analyze data on the most traded coins on DEXs and create ERC-20 standard tokens. The trading volume of AstroPepeX (APX), the first meme coin created in this way, reached $14 million within a day.
An anonymous developer of the Ethereum blockchain network and X user named CroissantETH shared a script that enables OpenAl’s AI-based ChatGPT to create and launch ERC-20 tokens.
The developer decided to explore the capabilities of ChatGPT and integrate the app into the token creation process. To do this, they had to write code with OpenAI’s application programming interfaces (API) integrated into it. As a result, they managed to create a script using Open Zeppelin standards that allows the chatbot to automatically deploy an asset using Ethereum smart contracts.
Then, the developer provided ChatGPT with information about more than 10,000 coins traded on Uniswap and their market cap so that the chatbot could come up with an adequate name and ticker for the coin. CroissantETH noted that this was necessary because the bot initially generated absurd and overly creative names as it didn’t have enough information about the crypto market. Eventually, the chatbot wrote code in the Solidity programming language and created the AstroPepeX token (APX).
To ensure that private keys and contracts of the created asset are owned exclusively by ChatGPT and completely exclude human intervention, the developer enabled the code to automatically revoke ownership before posting. So, after the contract is posted, all created tokens are automatically added to liquidity.
ChatGPT generated 65 billion APX tokens and 2 ETH tokens, which were added to liquidity on the decentralized exchange Uniswap. Etherscan’s on-chain analytics data shows that, as of 11:00 a.m. (GMT+3) on September 22, 2,368 APX holders have made 19,847 transactions. According to DEX Screener, the token’s trading volume on Uniswap exceeded $14 million within 24 hours of its launch. Additionally, APX has already appeared on the DeFi platform Poloniex and the centralized exchanges Bitget, MEXC, and LBank.
CroissantETH says that the script is unique as it makes human intervention in the process minimal, which hasn’t been achieved before. The developer plans to publish the UI code in the public domain so that any user can launch an ERC-20 token via ChatGPT. CroissantETH also noted that some developers have already written to them about the successful use of this script.
The chatbot is actively used by various members of the crypto market. For example, Binance has implemented a neural network into its educational platform, and thanks to a special plug-in, ChatGPT users of the blockchain network Solana can simplify the process of trading NFTs. However, the hype around ChatGPT is also used by scammers.
