Users of Pump.fun, a protocol for minting meme coins, generated $5.33 million in fees in a day, pushing the platform’s monthly revenue to a record $33.33 million.
According to DefiLlama data, Pump.fun, a protocol for minting meme coins powered by the Solana blockchain, generated $5.33 million in revenue over the last 24 hours, boosting the protocol’s fees to a record $33.3 million for the month.
Pump.fun’s daily revenue figures were significantly higher than those of other popular protocols and blockchains. For example, DefiLlama reported that the Ethereum blockchain and the Lido protocol over the past 24 hours generated $1.67 million and $2.37 million, respectively, which is 68% and 55% less than Pump.fun’s daily revenue. The platform’s performance was also 78% higher than the returns of the Solana blockchain, which managed to generate $1.15 million in fees over the past 24 hours.
Pump.fun’s monthly revenue reached a record $33.33 million for the platform, pushing it to eighth place in the ranking, ahead of giants such as AAVE and PancakeSwap. At the same time, the volume of the platform’s fees in monthly terms was still lower than that of Ethereum and Lido by 197% and 162%, respectively.
The Solana blockchain recently surpassed Ethereum in transaction fees for the first time, due to the activity of Pump.fun users.
