Crypto exchange Coinbase announced that U.K. users can buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other digital assets via Apple Pay. The initiative is designed to simplify and secure access to cryptocurrencies for local crypto users.
Coinbase added the ability for U.K. users to purchase digital assets using the Apple Pay feature on their iPhones.
According to Daniel Seifert, U.K. Regional Managing Director at Coinbase, the initiative is part of the company’s strategy to increase the number of cryptocurrency users in the country. He also assured that using Apple Pay provides a more secure and confidential way to buy digital assets, as when making purchases via Apple Pay, card numbers aren’t stored on the device or Apple’s servers, but the information is encrypted and kept in a special chip for payment data.
Now it’s possible to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies on Coinbase in the U.K. in four different ways, including bank transfer, Google Pay, and 3D Secure Card.
