Canadian video platform Rumble announced the launch of its own wallet that supports Tether (USDT) for content creator payouts.

USDT to Become Payment Method on Rumble

Chris Pavlovski, CEO of Rumble, the Canadian competitor to YouTube, shared details about the upcoming release of Rumble Wallet, a platform designed to facilitate content monetization. The primary payment method will be the USDT stablecoin.

Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, endorsed the initiative, calling it “a wallet for the people.” According to him, the use of USDT will provide creators with more stable and predictable payouts.

In late 2024, Tether invested $775 million in Rumble. Ardoino called the investment “strategic,” emphasizing the fundamental values of both freedom of speech and financial freedom.

The launch of a wallet with USDT support reflects Rumble’s aim to offer content creators alternative monetization methods, reducing dependence on traditional advertising models and providing more flexible financial tools.

Many social networks and messaging apps are integrating cryptocurrency payments to incentivize content creators. For example, Telegram users can use TON and USDT to pay for travel and taxi services, as well as create personal crypto accounts in Swiss banks via the Telegram Mini Wallet app.
