Visa Launches Stablecoin Payouts and Account Funding Through zerohash

Visa partnered with infrastructure platform zerohash to expand the capabilities of Visa Direct by adding support for stablecoin payouts and settlement account funding for corporate clients.
The payments giant announced its partnership with zerohash, allowing eligible Visa Direct clients to fund settlement accounts and make payouts in stablecoins.
zerohash provides infrastructure for cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and tokenized assets. The company operates across the EU, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and Bermuda, and holds licenses in 51 U.S. jurisdictions.
Visa Direct enables fund transfers to more than 18 billion bank accounts, payment cards, and digital wallets across 195 countries and territories.
Through the integration, Visa Direct’s corporate clients can manage liquidity and conduct cross border settlements using stablecoins 24/7. They’ll also be able to pre-fund settlement accounts for stablecoin transactions and send payouts directly to recipients in digital assets. This will reduce transfer processing times and expand access to on-chain settlements.
zerohash’s infrastructure provides the technical and regulatory support required for transactions across dozens of blockchain networks, along with integration and client servicing tools. According to founder and CEO Edward Woodford, bringing stablecoin use cases onto a global payments network will accelerate adoption and help businesses manage liquidity more efficiently in international settlements.
Mark Nelsen, Visa’s Global Head of Products, said the company continues to invest in expanding Visa Direct’s infrastructure. He said the partnership with zerohash will help scale stablecoin adoption while maintaining compatibility with clients’ existing financial infrastructure.
Visa announced the integration of stablecoins into Visa Direct in September 2025. The company later expanded stablecoin support, allowing payouts to be sent directly to recipients’ stablecoin wallets. Earlier, fintech company BVNK became the infrastructure provider for stablecoin payments on the Visa Direct platform.
