25% of People Will Spend At Least One Hour A Day in the Metaverse by 2026

Gartner analysts predict that by 2026, one in four people will spend at least one hour a day in the metaverse. In a virtual space, people will work, go shopping, learn, communicate and have fun. By the same time, about 30% of all organizations will have introduced their products and services into the digital space.

Creators of the existing metaverse platforms already offer technical solutions that allow users to reproduce their daily activities in the virtual space. Over time, different virtual spaces will have to merge into a single environment — the Metaverse.

Researchers have given the following characteristic to the Metaverse: “a collective virtual shared space, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical and digital reality.” At the same time, the Metaverse itself cannot be anyone’s property, and the virtual economy will function through cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
