Users of the Avalanche blockchain now can buy AVAX tokens for fiat funds directly in Web3 apps. This became possible due to the integration of a specialized widget from Stripe.

Avalanche Integrates Stripe to Support Fiat Payments

Ava Labs, the team behind the Avalanche blockchain network, shared information about the integration with payment provider Stripe. As part of the partnership, verified Stripe users will be able to buy AVAX tokens for fiat funds and store them in their wallets.

Moreover, developers of Web3 apps within the Avalanche ecosystem got an opportunity to integrate a specialized widget from Stripe into the interfaces of their services, enabling users to convert fiat funds into crypto.

Eight applications on the Avalanche blockchain already announced the widget integration, among them are:

  • staking protocol GoGoPool;
  • username service Avvy;
  • social media platform The Aren;
  • NFT marketplace Zeroone;
  • crypto wallet Halliday;
  • developer platform Pakt;
  • blockchain games DeFi Kingdoms and Shrapnel.

According to Akash Gupta, Head of Consumer Products at Ava Labs, the collaboration with Stripe is primarily aimed at increasing global crypto adoption and will also allow devs to create intuitive and user-friendly solutions based on Avalanche.

The other day, John Collison, Co-Founder and President of Stripe, announced that the company is bringing back crypto support. Starting this summer, Stripe services will support payments in USD Coin (USDC) stablecoins based on Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon blockchains.

The Avalanche team recently revealed a partnership with Alipay, one of the biggest payment systems, to launch a discount Web3 voucher program.
