Crypto Card Transaction Volume Surpassed $759 Million in July 2026

Crypto card transaction volume increased 2.5-fold in 2026. In July, users processed $758.8 million in payments using crypto payment cards.

According to data from a16z crypto, the digital asset division of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, and analytics platform Paymentscan, July was the strongest month for the crypto card segment since October 2023. Monthly transaction volume reached $758.8 million.

In July 2026, crypto card users made about 9 million transactions. The average transaction size was about $86. The largest card issuers by payment volume were:

  • RedotPay with $395.1 million;
  • EtherFi with $100.3 million;
  • KAST with $89.6 million.

Analysts said the mix of assets used for crypto card payments has changed significantly over the past few years. At the beginning of 2024, nearly 88% of transactions were settled in the EURe stablecoin. By 2026, the market had largely shifted to U.S. dollar denominated stablecoins. In July, USDC accounted for about 58% of all payments, while USDT represented another 26%. EURe’s share declined to about 2%.

The blockchain landscape also shifted. Optimism led with a market share of about 29%, followed by Solana and Base with about 19% each. Meanwhile, Gnosis, which dominated the crypto card market in early 2024, saw its share fall to about 2%.
