Returns on stablecoins are close to zero, but the peg to the U.S. dollar allowed stablecoins to hold their positions amid the general decline of the crypto market.
The best financial performance among cryptocurrencies with a capitalization of more than $10 billion in January was shown by:
- Tether (USDT);
- Binance USD (BUSD);
- USD Coin (USDC);
- TerraUSD (UST).
Their price remained almost unchanged, but even zero returns on the background of the general fall of quotations in the crypto market was the best financial result. For comparison, Bitcoin (BTC) lost about 20% of its value in January, Ethereum (ETH) tumbled 25%.
